“Find a Couch, Take a Seat and Stop Trying to Rig Our Elections”

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA - Indiana Secretary of State candidate Blythe Potter issued the following statement on Vice President JD Vance’s latest visit to pressure Hoosier lawmakers to further gerrymander our state’s Congressional Districts:
“JD Vance knows that voters all over America, including in Indiana, are turning on the far right agenda. Hoosiers are already at risk of losing health care and rural hospitals. They are already paying higher prices due to tariffs. They are already concerned about cuts to research and education. Rather than change course, re-open the government and get to work for the American people, JD Vance is engaging in backroom deals to pressure state Republicans to change our maps.
Blythe Potter, Indiana Secretary of State candidate, reaffirmed her commitment to protecting fair elections and ending partisan gerrymandering across the state.
“I’ve talked to Hoosiers of both parties from all over this state and they do not want JD Vance to mess with our elections. He needs to find a couch, take a seat and stop trying to rig our elections.
“As Secretary of State, I will be a voice for free and fair elections. I’ll support independent redistricting and I will work every day to help eligible voters make their voices heard at the ballot box.”
