Blythe’s commitment to service didn’t end with the military or her business.

She serves as an elected Precinct Committee member in Johnson County and has twice run for municipal office. Through her work in local politics, she has seen up close how voter suppression, poor communication, and lack of outreach discourage too many Hoosiers from participating in elections. She believes in a collaborative approach, bringing people together across party lines to solve problems and strengthen democracy at the local level.

Blythe’s service began in the U.S. Army Reserves, where she served eight years as a member of the Military Police corps. While in the army she was deployed to Baghdad as part of a small 19-person Personal Security Detail (PSD) for General George Casey, then Commanding General of the Multi-National Forces – Iraq.

Serving as a driver and gunner, Blythe and her team provided security between Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) and the Green Zone/Embassy. Operating in high-threat environments, she learned how to lead under pressure, adapt quickly, and uphold the highest standards of integrity — skills she carries into every challenge.

Following her military service, Blythe came home to Indiana.

Blythe earned her MBA and then she built a successful small business in Bargersville, IN. As the owner of Bargersville Wellness, Blythe has dedicated her career to helping her neighbors live healthier and more balanced lives. Her firsthand experience navigating Indiana’s business systems has shown her how outdated processes and red tape hold back small businesses — and how the Secretary of State’s Office could do more to support entrepreneurs.

As a wife, mother to a young daughter, and stepmother to two adult daughters, Blythe's family is her driving force.

A lifelong Hoosier, she wants her children, and every young person in Indiana, to grow up in a state where their rights are protected, their voices matter, and their votes are counted. She’s committed to visiting all 92 counties, listening to the people she serves, and making sure the decisions in Indianapolis reflect the needs of all Hoosiers.

Diego Morales and Indiana’s one-party control have weakened public trust and put voting rights at risk. Under his leadership, the Secretary of State’s Office has been plagued by insider deals, no-bid contracts, and ethics scandals -

all while Indiana remains near the bottom in the nation for voter turnout. Blythe is running to clean up the Secretary of State’s Office, restore ethics, modernize outdated systems, and ensure that government works for every Hoosier, not just the well-connected few.

U.S. Army Veteran, Military Police Corps, small business owner, wife, and mother, Blythe has been a longtime advocate for Hoosier voices and is running for Indiana Secretary of State to restore trust, protect every vote, and make state government work for the people again. Her career has been defined by service to her country and Indiana.

Blythe and her husband Michael, her partner of 14 years, live in Bargersville, Indiana. Together they are raising their five-year-old daughter, while also cheering on Blythe’s two adult stepdaughters as they begin their own paths in life.

Family is Blythe’s grounding force, and the reason she works every day to build a stronger, fairer Indiana for the next generation.
